Dr Anushka Fernando

Inspired by her ability to build meaningful connections, Dr Anushka finds patient interaction both instinctive and rewarding. With a passion for science and learning, she chose dentistry to combine clinical skills with patient care and long-term relationships. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney, following an undergraduate degree with Honours in Biomedical Sciences at Monash University. Since graduating, she has pursued ongoing professional development in treatment planning, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and implant placement and restoration, with mentorship from experienced clinicians including Dr Rogers. Known for her gentle, calm, and friendly approach, Dr Anushka prioritises patient comfort and clear communication. She takes the time to understand each patient’s needs and preferences, and provides care tailored to the individual. Active in the SPEAR Education community and engaged with dental colleagues worldwide, she is committed to continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
