Kate began her healthcare career as a Registered Nurse after completing a Bachelor of Nursing Science at JCU in Townsville. She later completed a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing while working in Emergency and Intensive Care. Seeking a new challenge, she transitioned into dentistry, drawn by its focus on health promotion. She enjoys helping patients improve their oral health and reconnecting at each visit. Kate has worked in private practices across Cairns, Weipa – where she was lead dentist – and Brisbane. She’s recently returned to her hometown of Townsville to be closer to family and is excited to join the Dental 206 team. Kate takes a conservative, minimally invasive approach to general dentistry, with special interests in Endodontics (root canal therapy), pain relief, restoring function, and smile makeovers. She’s a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Australian Society of Endodontology, and Australian Prosthodontic Society. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with family.
