Dr Nomikos Rakkas is most well known for providing quality dentistry with a kind, honest and compassionate approach. He is passionate about personalised treatment and offering his patients the highest standard of care possible. Dr Rakkas is capable of performing a wide range of dental techniques and treatments for his patients and has a comprehensive approach. He completed his dental studies at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia graduating in 2011 with multiple high achievement awards and top of his class in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment) and Oral Surgery. Upon graduation from university Dr Rakkas spent the next 5 years in Darwin working full time in private practice before opening Goodlife Dental Studio in January 2017 to further his goals of offering high quality comprehensive care to his patients. He undertakes regular continuing professional development courses to keep up to date with the latest dental treatments, techniques and equipment including 3D dental modelling, milling an 3D printing, digital smile design, dental lasers and more. Since 2013 Dr Rakkas has proudly represented the Northern Territory dental profession as an active volunteer council member of the Australian Dental Association NT Branch – the peak body representing dentist in Australia. He held the executive role of Honorary Treasurer from 2015 to 2018 and has held the role of President since 2018. Dr Rakkas is of Greek heritage and was born in Darwin. Dr Rakkas is passionate about the local NT community and is also a supporter of the local Greek Community/ Culture. He is bilingual and is able to speak to his patients in both English and Greek. Dr Nomikos Rakkas offers Nitrous Oxide (Happy Gas) sedation.
