Dr. Mae Abdalla is a Myobrace Provider member, a Certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor for Children and Adults, and has taken numerous courses in Pediatric Airway and Myofunctional Orthodontics. Her work focuses on Functional Dentistry, guiding children to develop to their fullest potential. This encompasses the mouth body connection, dental and jaw development, nutrition, myofunctional therapy and sleep disorder breathing. Her patients love her calm demeanor when visiting the clinic for dental work, as it helps them feel relaxed. She grew up in Kitchener, Waterloo and received her Dental degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2003. After graduating, Dr. Mae continued to do a hospital General Practice Residency in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The residency allowed her to treat medically compromised patients that required complex treatment. In 2007, she married Dr. Daniel and they moved to Heidelberg, Germany where she worked as a Civilian Contract Dentist treating soldiers and their families. Her experience in Germany provided her the opportunity to work closely with many patient populations including children and soldiers ready to deploy. Dr. Mae is also fluent in Arabic.
