Dr. Jakob Nickerson completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Dalhousie University in 2019, during which he was awarded the Dr. Sheridan Cyrus Award, recognizing exemplary practice management, patient care, communication, and leadership. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Nickerson received his Bachelor of Science with Honours from Acadia University. Most recently, Dr. Nickerson completed a general practice residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, where he gained additional experience with sedation, oncology, emergency dentistry, and working with medically complex patients. In addition to practicing with Complete Family Dentistry, Dr. Nickerson teaches in the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly on the South Shore where he was raised, and playing music with his partner Heather. Dr. Nickerson is currently accepting new patients and is looking forward to meeting you!
