Dr. Hussein Al-Mufti achieved his bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from the University of Baghdad before training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Malaya in Malaysia. He then earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Glasgow and gained valuable clinical experience in England, where he served as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Bradford Royal Infirmary. After moving to Canada, he immediately started his qualification exams to obtain his dental license and completed the International Dental Degree Program at the University of Manitoba. Helping patients restore their confidence and optimal oral health is at the heart of Dr. Hussein’s approach. He does everything he can to help patients love their smiles, and is particularly passionate about restoring smiles with long-lasting implants. Dr. Hussein is fluent in English and Arabic, and is dedicated to serving a diverse range of patients. Dr. Hussein has received numerous awards, including the Dr. William Bloom Prize for the highest overall average in Oral Surgery, the Dr. Joseph Freeman Memorial Prize, and the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award of Excellence. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Ottawa Dental Society.
