Greg is originally from the east coast of Canada, where he grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Greg attended the University of New Brunswick where he obtained his Bachelor of Science with honors in biochemistry. He also played lacrosse with the UNB Generals throughout his undergraduate time. He then moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University. Upon graduation, his education continued as he was accepted to the General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the University of British Columbia based in the Vancouver General Hospital. Internationally Greg has worked in Vietnam and Cambodia. Vietnam was a mixture of hospital based oral surgery at the National Hospital of Odontostomatology and the care of a population of children from various orphanages throughout Vietnam. Cambodia was strictly pediatric treatment within the hospital setting in the Angkor Children’s Hospital in Siem Reap. Through these experiences Greg has developed a keen interest in oral surgery. He also gained certification through the Vancouver General Hospital to provide conscious intravenous sedation for his patients. During his residency Greg often worked with medically compromised and highly anxious patients. This has allowed him to develop a very patient centered approach to comprehensive dental care and he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. Greg spends much of his free time pursuing continuing education and routinely triples the provincial licensing requirements. It is very important to him to stay up to date on current techniques to provide the best standard of care to his patients. Outside of dentistry Greg’s interests include travelling and a love for the outdoors – namely golf and skiing tend to take up a good portion of his free time.
