Dr. Alyson Kohlmeier was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, where her path to dentistry began with something a little unexpected—competitive running. A standout student-athlete at St. Patrick’s High School, she earned a scholarship to the University of Michigan, where she spent five years as a member of the cross-country and track & field teams. During her athletic career, Dr. Kohlmeier earned several Big Ten titles, was named an ESPN Academic All-American, and represented Team Canada internationally. Academic & Clinical Training After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan, Dr. Kohlmeier returned to Canada to study dentistry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University—where she and Dr. Luka first crossed paths. While at Western, she received several academic awards, including: The Centennial Orthodontic & Pediatric Dentistry Award The Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This advanced training focused on treatment planning, comprehensive care, and managing more complex dental needs. Clinical Specialties Dr. Kohlmeier is known for her precise eye and heartfelt approach to patient care. She focuses on cosmetic treatments like veneers, bonding, aesthetic recontouring, and full smile makeovers, all tailored to enhance each patient’s natural beauty.
