A graduate of Université Laval’s Faculty of Dentistry in Quebec City, Dr. St-Amour has been practicing general and family dentistry since 2003. In her ongoing desire to further her education and develop new techniques, she recently graduated from a two-year program at the Centre d’Éducation dentaire avancée et multidisciplinaire (CEDAM). This training allowed her to learn more about the latest technical developments in dentistry and adapt her own practice accordingly. Originally from Vaudreuil-Dorion, she is fortunate to be able to practice in her native region, where she has decided to raise her family. Her love for children was put to good use during her studies, when she participated in a humanitarian project in Paraguay, South America. There, she was able to educate sixth graders about the importance of oral health. She also completed a one-year multidisciplinary residency in collaboration with the University of Montreal, Notre-Dame Hospital, and Ste-Justine Hospital. These experiences allowed her to acquire additional skills in surgery and pedodontics (dentistry for children), in addition to developing an interest in dental education and awareness. Through her practice and various training and professional development courses, she has demonstrated a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, complete dental rehabilitation (implants, prostheses, crowns and bridges, dental veneers), as well as periodontal treatments (gum grafts and root planing). At Clinique Poirier, she has access to modern facilities and cutting-edge dental technology to provide you with the best possible care.
