Dr Stephanie Yap

Dr. Stephanie Yap attended the University of Toronto for her undergraduate studies and graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science with High Distinction. She then attended the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery. During her dental studies, she achieved the Margaret & Clifford Zettle Award, Dr. Charles Hyman Moses Prosthodontics Award, and graduated in the top 10% of her class on the Dean’s list. Dr. Yap was passionate about advancing her dental skillset and completed a general practise residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Her residency was a rigorous program where she provided comprehensive dental care to patients with complex medical conditions, managed on-call dental emergencies and traumas, and received further training in oral surgery, and oral pathology. Dr. Yap enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is a firm believer that better oral health leads to better physical and mental health. Her goal is to make you feel informed and comfortable before any dental treatment. Dr. Yap is committed to advancing her dental knowledge through continuing education, to provide her patients with a broader range of treatment options. She is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She also speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Yap enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, biking, gardening, and playing board games!
