Dr. Shamsher Sandlas is a Board Certified Specialist in Periodontics with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and advancing oral health. A graduate of the prestigious University of British Columbia (UBC) Dental School, Dr. Sandlas began his career in private practice, honing his clinical skills and patient-focused approach. Dr. Sandlas’ commitment to excellence led him to complete a hospital residency at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), where he worked alongside Plastic Surgeons, ENT specialists, Oral Surgeons, and Emergency Medicine professionals. This multidisciplinary experience enriched his understanding of complex cases and comprehensive care. Dr. Sandlas further advanced his expertise by earning both a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree and a specialty in Periodontics from UBC. During this time, he achieved the prestigious Nobel Biocare Achievement in Osseointegration Award , an honor given to outstanding students for excellence in dental implant education, treatment planning, and clinical achievement. This accolade highlights Dr. Sandlas’ exceptional skill and dedication to advancing implant dentistry.
