Prior to becoming a dentist, I graduated from McGill University with a degree in Agriculture and worked in Western Canada in this field for several years, during which time I met my wife. We decided to return to Nova Scotia, where I was born, so that I could pursue my degree in dentistry, and I graduated from the Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry in 1974. I established the Hampton Dental Clinic in 1975, and now I operate out of the Sussex Dental Clinic and the Canterbury Dental Clinic. Restoring and opening the Canterbury Dental Clinic is an endeavor I am very proud of, and I am grateful to the team we have, knowing we provide our patients with the best possible care. It would be an understatement to say that I have a passion for both dentistry and my patients, including several animals over the years, such as an African elephant and a German Sheppard guard dog! I have a strong interest in preventive dentistry, salvaging existing teeth, crowns and bridges but am most passionate about root canals, failed root canals and one appointment make overs. While a big portion of my life is dedicated to dentistry, I also enjoy traveling with my wife Dianne, and spending time on the Belleisle Bay with my children, grandchildren, family, and friends with a good glass of wine.
