Dr Kelly Hynes

Dr. Kelly Hynes grew up in Central Newfoundland in the small town of Norris Arm South and moved to Mount Pearl in 1994. She graduated from Mount Pearl Senior High in 1996. It was during her years of high school that Dr. Hynes decided she wanted to pursue a career that enabled her to help people feel good about themselves physically and emotionally. Dentistry seemed to be the perfect fit! Dr. Hynes then pursued a science degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Mathematics. During her fourth year at Memorial University, Dr. Hynes was accepted into Dentistry at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. After 4 years of dental school Dr. Hynes moved to Rochester, New York to complete a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Rochester - Eastman Dental Center. Dr. Hynes decided to stay in Rochester for 1 additional year to work at Rochester General Hospital so she could provide dental care to patients from underserved areas. However, Dr. Hynes always knew she wanted to return to Newfoundland. In 2006 she began treating patients in the Paradise, St. John’s, Mount Pearl, and Conception Bay South areas and opened her own practice in Paradise in 2013. She has completed numerous continuing education courses since graduating from dental school and is currently completing courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Hynes and her husband are happily married and have a son together. They currently live in Conception Bay South with their German Shepherd Margaret.
