Dr John Bjornson

Dr. John Bjornson, also known as 'Dr. John', graduated from The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. The initial years of his practice were focused on the provision of emergency dental services in Greater Victoria. Dr. John and his team are committed to the provision of premier care with a focus on contemporary dental technology. Dr. John is a graduate of the Kios Center of Advanced Dentistry Through Science where he completed a nine-course curriculum that requires over 200 hours of continuing education encompassing all clinical areas of dentistry involving both didactic and hands-on training. Dentistry historically has been based on a “repair model”, replacing fillings, filling holes or replacing missing teeth. The goal of my relationship with the patients in our practice is to enable them to benefit from a level of oral heath that will rely as minimally as possible on the “repair model” of care. My contemporary practice philosophy is based on a “health model” of care. This model is designed to predict disease before it even happens or is expressed, thereby ensuring the continuity of your oral health throughout your lifetime.
