After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Calgary, Dr. Yao went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Manitoba. He then served as a Captain with the Canadian military for nine years practicing dentistry at a military base in Toronto. While Dr. Yao enjoys helping patients with all of their dental needs, he especially enjoys helping patients in the areas of oral surgery and dental implants. Because he is licensed to administer intravenous sedation, Dr. Yao also specializes in helping anxious parents. Dr. Yao is a father to three children, a son named Braden and two daughters named Charlize and Dehati. In his free time, Dr. Yao likes to spend time with his family, travelling, and playing sports.
