Dr. Chrysi Stavropoulou began her studies at the University of Athens in Greece after receiving a scholarship from the John S. Latsis Public Benefit foundation. Upon graduating with her DDS in 2013, Dr. Stavropoulou spent 2 years volunteering as a dentist at the Military Dental Hospital in Athens before moving to Canada to obtain her Masters in Dentistry (Periodontics) at the University of Manitoba’s College of Dentistry. During this time, Dr. Stavropoulou was awarded the International Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship, the Dr. John (Jack) Neilson Research Award in Oral-Systemic Health and the Russell E. Wallace Memorial Fund for her academic performance and clinical research. Dr. Stavropoulou is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Periodontology.
