Dr Jasiewicz-Bialy graduated with honours from the University of Manitoba. Together with her husband Peter, Dominika values spending quality time with their young sons, Sebastian and Adam. The family enjoys travelling and discovering diverse cultures. Dominika was born in Poland and immigrated to Winnipeg at the age of six. As an active member of the Polish community in Winnipeg, she performed at Folklorama in the Warsaw, Poland pavilion as a dancer for more than 14 years.
