Dr Joel Antel

Joel is a 1979 graduate of the University of Manitoba Faculty of dentistry, now the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry. He has maintained a general dental practice in Winnipeg since then. Joel is the author of a book on patient education and a “customer service” approach to dental practice. It is the basis of his lectures, at home, away, and on line to dentists, dental students and dental office teams. Joel and his wife Bonnie were both born and raised in Winnipeg. They have three children and six grandchildren. Joel is active in both local and national dental associations and has served on the boards and committees of a number of community organizations. He is currently the president elect of the Canadian Dental Association. Joel feels that early on his patients should have the information necessary to guide their dental care choices. He works with them to develop a plan for lifelong dental health, restoring and maintaining health, comfort and a pleasing appearance. Joel is particularly interested in treatment for patients who have not been to a dentist for a while and patients whose apprehension is a barrier to treatment that must be addressed.
