Advanced Training Program in Orofacial Pain Management

About This Course

A one-year training program designed for dentists who wish to enhance their education in the field of Orofacial Pain Management. This program provides participants with extensive knowledge in the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain for patients with complex dental and medical conditions. Through this multidisciplinary program, participants will be trained in applying the principles of evidence-based learning and patient-centered care to their dental practice as related to the field of orofacial pain.

Learning Outcomes

✓Gain basic knowledge required for proper understanding of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS)
✓Involve in patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical care
✓Understand and manage orofacial pain and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders
✓Understand and critically appraise dental literature
✓Apply evidence-based dentistry and guidelines to clinical practice
✓Develop skills in interventional procedures including Botox and anesthetic blocks

7.Basic knowledge module on orofacial pain and TMJ disorders with didactic courses and clinical rotations
8.Evidence-based dentistry module with didactic sessions, workshops, seminars, and self-directed learning
