Master of Dental Public Health

About This Course

An innovative course designed to offer multi-disciplinary academic and experiential development for dental professionals who wish to develop knowledge, skills, and commitment to developing equitable and fair dental services. The programme emphasizes student-directed learning, multi-disciplinary teaching, problem-solving, skills training, and flexibility.

Learning Outcomes

✓Analyse critically and debate theories and issues related to dental public health
✓Construct arguments around social, political and economic factors determining population health
✓Demonstrate competence in key public health disciplines including epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences
✓Design and discuss provision, economic evaluation, management and leadership of health services
✓Analyse and synthesise evidence-based research and its application to dental public health practice
✓Develop and evaluate appropriate oral health protection and promotion initiatives at population level
✓Develop and apply research methodology by conducting specified programme of research
