About This Course

A unique specialist consultant taught three-day interactive educational experience focusing on the theory behind the safe operation and referral for CBCT (Level 1) and image reporting (Level 2) of both 2D and 3D imaging, primarily for smaller volume CBCT.

Learning Outcomes

✓Make safe CBCT referrals with sound understanding of Physics/Radiation dosages and patient factors
✓Appreciate when 2D and 3D CBCT imaging are best used and access guidelines
✓Recapitulate knowledge of 2D dental imaging and learn anatomical patterns associated with CBCT 3D presentations
✓Appreciate Radiation safety (IRMER and IRR legislation) surrounding CBCT use
✓Operate CBCT viewing software and utilise MPR screens
✓Safely analyse and construct smaller Vol CBCT reports using protocols
✓Analyse concerning dental/maxillofacial disease presentations and refer urgent cases appropriately
✓Recognise bone diseases and cancers on imaging
✓Analyse relevant 2D and 3D image data and construct recordable imaging reports
✓Understand how image reporting errors and adverse events can occur
