I began working at Affinity Dental Care in 1995 as a trainee dental nurse. In 2000 after successfully passing my examinations I gained the National Certificate for Dental Nurses and achieved my goal to become a qualified dental nurse. I enjoy the fact that I am continually learning new skills and attending training courses to further my knowledge. It makes my job all the more interesting.

I trained as a Dental Nurse in Glasgow Dental Hospital and qualified in 1986, and then gained the National certificate in Dental Nursing in 1988. Following six years working with the community dental service in Ayrshire, I decided to return to N.Ireland and joined the team at Affinity as a Dental Receptionist in 1992. I then progressed to Practice Manager in 1996. In 2009 following a year of study I attained the Level 5 Diploma in Management. I enjoy my job immensely and love the interaction with the people I meet. It is a great feeling to know we provide a service which is appreciated by our patients. When I am not at work I like nothing more that a long relaxing walk with my three dogs and spending time with my teenage daughter Aimee.

Dental Hygienist
Qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital in March 1994, member of Northern Ireland branch of the British society of Dental Hygiene/Therapy
I qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital in March 1994 and since have worked as a Hygienist. I am currently a member of the Northern Ireland branch of the British society of Dental Hygiene/Therapy. I was a chairperson for 3 years and council rep for 1 year. I found these roles very interesting and rewarding. I regularly attend lectures and courses in the interest of continuing education and keeping abreast of any changes and new techniques in dental hygiene. I have a passion for all aspects of Dental Hygiene and love achieving "the healthy mouth" for all my patients. I also enjoy meeting and treating new patients. I enjoy working as part of a team and I joined Affinity Dental Care in September 2011. In my leisure time I enjoy playing the piano, cooking and entertaining friends and family. I always have an open house. I also enjoy socializing and trying out any new restaurants in Belfast.
