William graduated from Queen’s University Belfast as a Dentist in 2015 and qualified as a Specialist Orthodontist in 2022. William works an Orthodontist across practices within the group in Portadown and Belfast. He is happy to receive referrals from all dentists across Northern Ireland and Ireland for an assessment for Orthodontic treatment. William can undertake all aspects of Orthodontic treatment which includes removable and fixed braces, aligners and all aspects of retention. He manages a large capacity of Health Service and private patients across multiple practices with the assistance of the Orthodontic team which includes Orthodontic therapists, Dental nurses with Orthodontic experience and the reception and administration team. Private treatments are also available for patients who have a low IOTN score, or adult patients- these include metal or ceramic brackets or aligners such as Smartee or Invisalign. Joshua graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2015 and completed vocational training in Northern Ireland. Subsequently he undertook core training jobs in maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry before completing orthodontic specialty training in Cork.

Dr Grainne McCloskey began her dentistry journey in 1999 when she obtained a B.A.B.Dent.Sc from Trinity College Dublin. Since then, she has undertaken numerous surgical and restorative courses including advanced surgical courses, IV sedation training and sinus lift augmentation. Grainne has been working in general practice and placing and restoring implants for over 20 years using multiple systems such as Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Sweden & Martina, Southern Implants and Zimmer Biomet. She recently obtained an MSc in Clinical Implantology (UCLAN). Grainne also recently achieved her Masters in Clinical Oral Surgery (University of Ulster), Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry (Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland), MAGDS (RCS Edinburgh), MGDS (RCS Ireland), and Associate Fellowship from the College of General Dentistry. Grainne is currently completing Advanced Coaching and Mentorship training with UCLAN. She has training and experience in using a CBCT scanner and extensive experience in digital dentistry (cerec) including guided surgery. Grainne is a Key Opinion Speaker for Ireland for Nobel Biocare and Sweden and Martina, and most recently she has become an examiner for RCS Edinburgh MAGDS exam.

Catriona studied in Liverpool, completed Vocational Training in North Wales and worked in Sheffield and Glasgow in Maxillofacial/Oral Surgery units before moving back to Northern Ireland in 2004. She has worked as a Specialist Oral Surgeon locally since then, joining Maguires in 2020. She has a keen interest in education and sedation and completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation at the University of Newcastle in 2006. She works part time at the School of Dentistry in Belfast teaching Oral Surgery and Conscious Sedation to dental students. Married with three children, Catriona enjoys running, swimming and travelling with the family.

David graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2014. Following this he completed his foundation training in Bristol before returning to Northern Ireland where he has been working within DJ Maguire Dental Group since 2015. He passed the exams for membership of the joint dental faculties in 2016 and undertook the diploma in conscious sedation through Trinity College Dublin from 2019 – 2021, graduating with distinction. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in advanced restorative dentistry through the University of Aberdeen. David provides conscious sedation (both inhaled gas and air, and intravenous sedation) for anxious and phobic patients. He mainly provides this service on a Thursday from North Street Dental Care in Lurgan. He provides all forms of dental treatment under sedation including cosmetic and restorative dentistry. His favourite approach to treatment is to use the most up to date methods of restoring teeth, using the most advanced materials and techniques to avoid root canal treatment and preserve as much of the natural teeth as possible. This is known as the biomimetic approach to dentistry and it is considered the pinnacle of modern restorative dentistry.

Connlaoth recieved his BDS from Queens University Belfast. He completed his vocational training in a sedation practice in the Southern Trust, gaining invaluable experience treating dentally anxious and phobic patients with the use of Inhalation Sedation. Connlaoth began working at DJ Maguires in 2018 providing both NHS and private treatment. In the coming year he hopes to complete his MFDS and further qualifications. He enjoys cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canal treatment) and restoring worn teeth. He prides himself on his ability to put patients at ease, allowing him to help and treat dentally anxious patients. In his spare time Connlaoth enjoys sports and weightlifting.

Matthew qualified from Queen's University Belfast 2022 before working in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Matthew has a special interest in Endodontics (root canals). He was awarded a diploma in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and is completing a Master's degree with King's College London in Endodontics. Matthew strives to provide high level pain-free root canal treatment and is accepting referrals for root canal treatment, re-root canal treatments. Matthew enjoys to continue his learning with modern techniques for minimally invasive treatments and including vital pulp therapy which can used in some cases of deep decay to avoid a root canal treatment altogether. Matthew also enjoys the restoration of root filled teeth with minimally invasive aesthetic lab made restorations such as crowns and onlays. Matthew offers some Saturday appointments for treatment also. Aside from clinical work he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and is a keen follower of the Formula 1.
