Rhys qualified from Cardiff University in 2005. He did his Vocational Training year just outside Merthyr Tydfil and then worked in a variety of training positions around South Wales. He took over from his father as a partner at Whitehouse Dental Clinic in 2008, becoming sole owner of the Clinic in 2017. For 18 months, Rhys worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Prince Charles Hospital, where he developed an interest in Oral Surgery. This interest has been maintained by taking up a part-time position in Prince Charles Hospital as a CDO / Staff Grade Oral Surgeon, providing surgical dentistry under general anaesthesia. As well as his interest in oral surgery, Rhys also provides high quality general dentistry. He has a great deal of experience in treating patients who have extensively restored mouths, including patients who have not seen a dentist for many years and are worried about losing teeth. Through extensive post-graduate training, Rhys is able to provide dental implants for his patients to rehabilitate them if they have lost teeth or have loose dentures. He also accepts referrals from other dentists for these treatments. Rhys is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England after completing his membership examinations in 2007. He completed his MSc (Master of Science) in Implant Dentistry in Bristol University in 2018. Rhys is a member of the International Team in Implantology, regularly attending study clubs in Swansea and Cardiff. In his spare time, Rhys enjoys spending time with his wife, Nia, and their three young daughters. They all enjoy time outside on their bikes and when the weather allows, at the beach!

She works part-time with us, on a Monday morning and all day on a Wednesday and Thursday. Tina is responsible for caring for the majority of our NHS patients, both adults and children. Tina's gentle, friendly manner makes all her patients feel very comfortable, especially those who are nervous or have had bad experiences in the past. Tina spends time with her patients to help them relax, talking through their concerns before making a treatment plan which addresses any problems with the teeth whilst also addressing concerns that her patient may have. On her days away from the Clinic, Tina runs her busy household, bringing up their two children with Owen, who also works at Whitehouse Dental Clinic. She also tries to make time for keeping fit…half marathons are in the pipeline!
