Honour Health Dental

We’re delighted to welcome Tala to our dental team as a Dental Therapist, working between our Jesmond and Stanley practices. Tala graduated from Gulf Medical University in July 2021 and completed her training at Thumbay Dental Hospital in 2022. She brings a passion for patient care and a strong commitment to making a difference in people’s lives through dentistry. For Tala, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping relieve patients from pain and discomfort. She finds true joy in restoring smiles, knowing that a confident, pain-free smile is often the first thing people notice. Outside of work, Tala enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. She stays active through Pilates and cycling, and also enjoys expressing her creativity through painting and crochet.

Vicky has been part of the Honour Health team since March 2022 and is the Lead Dental Nurse / Administration Manager for Jesmond. Vicky qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2014 and has over 10 years’ experience in the dental industry, in both clinical and managerial roles. In 2016 she gained a foundation degree in Teaching and now uses these skills to help mentor and support Trainee Dental Nurses through their apprenticeship and training at Honour Health. Part of Vicky’s role is to oversee the day to day running of the business, providing support to staff and patients, as well as working in surgery as a dental nurse. In her spare time, Vicky enjoys spending time with her partner and two children, going on holidays abroad, camping in the Lake District and winding down with a good book.

Maria works at our Jesmond and Stanley practices, providing dental hygiene treatments for our patients. Maria joined the Honour Health team in November 2021. Maria studied as Ramon Cajal Institute in Barcelona, qualifying in 2015 with a Diploma of Senior Technician in Dental Hygiene. Maria worked as a dental hygienist for three years in Barcelona and has been working at Honour Health whilst converting her Spanish qualification to a UK qualification. Maria completed this conversion in 2024. Maria enjoys treating patients with different needs such as periodontal disease, gingivitis and staining. Maria uses our state of the art Airflow hygiene system to quickly, effectively remove biofilm and staining, revealing a healthier, brighter smile. She enjoys consulting with our dentists in order to provide the very best treatment for our patients, and is also interested in broadening her knowledge of teeth whitening and facial aesthetics. In her spare time, Maria enjoys running along the quayside and at Jesmond Dene. She would also love to get back into rollerblading, as she has had a break from it since coming to the UK.

Laura joined Honour Health in 2024 and works across our Jesmond and Ponteland practices, providing dental hygiene treatments for our patients. Laura studied at Teesside University and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene. Laura uses our state of the art Airflow hygiene system to quickly, effectively remove biofilm and staining, revealing a healthier, brighter smile. In her work, Laura most enjoys getting to know her patients, educating them on oral hygiene and ensuring they feel comfortable in her care. In her spare time, Laura enjoys socialising with family and friends, walking, running and travel.

Ella joined the team in November 2024 and works at our Jesmond Practice. Ella is really enjoying working at Honour Health and especially learning about different dental procedures as well as meeting our new patients. In her spare time, Ella loves travelling and is a keen gym go-er!

Chanelle joined us in November 2024 and works at our Jesmond Practice. In her spare time, Chanelle is a keen gymnast and is a member of The City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy at Benfield School.

Jess joined us in March 2025 and works at our Jesmond practice. Jess has enjoyed working at Honour Health since joining and has loved observing different dental procedures as part of her training. Outside of work, Jess has a passion for dance and has achieved a degree in the subject. Jess worked in Lapland, Finland before joining us as an elf and tour guide!

Emily has worked at Honour Health since January 2024 as a trainee dental nurse and will soon be qualifying as a dental nurse. Emily works between our Jesmond and Ponteland practices. Emily really enjoys working as part of the Honour Health team. In her spare time, Emily loves to teach and perform musical theatre.

Annie joined the Honour Health team in 2023. She has recently passed her final exams in Apri

Hannah joined our Jesmond team in August 2022 as a dual qualified dental hygienist and dental therapist. Hannah, who lives in Sunderland, has seven years of experience working in the dental field within NHS, mixed and private practices. She began her career in dental nursing in 2015 and gained a wealth of experience within a range of dental clinics. Hannah qualified as a nurse in 2017 and went on to study BSc Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at the University of Portsmouth, graduating in 2021. Hannah treats patients with the use of our state of the art EMS Airflow system, which quickly, effectively removes biofilm and staining, revealing a healthier, brighter smile. She is passionate about patient care and is continually broadening her knowledge to provide patients with gold standard treatment and oral health education. Hannah particularly loves the cosmetic aspects of her role, such as tooth whitening and stain removal. She finds stain removal and calculus removal to be very satisfying and therapeutic! Hannah loves to have a good chat and get to know her patients too. Hannah has also undertaken training in facial aesthetics and loves to help patients feel more confident and youthful, by enhancing their natural features and improving skin quality. She loves reading about professional skincare to keep up to date with the latest industry developments. Hannah will also shortly be beginning a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. In her spare time, Hannah really enjoys taking her little girl on days out to the park, the beach, and to wildlife parks. She also enjoys being creative, and she has drawn lots of realistic portraiture.

Gulshan has been part of the Honour Health team since 2016 and provides the full range of NHS and private dental treatments. Gulshan studied her undergraduate Dentistry at Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera, Valencia (Vlc) Spain and later completed her Masters in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Institute, UCL in 2022, graduating with a Merit. Gulshan gained a Distinction in her dissertation studying dental materials used in cases of erosive tooth surface loss. Most recently, Gulshan has started to study in Northumbria University, working towards a certificate in Healthcare Law. Gulshan has a particular interest in transforming patients’ smiles through Invisalign, teeth whitening and composite bonding, with over 5 years of experience as an Invisalign provider. Gulshan was shortlisted as a finalist for her teeth whitening work at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2018 and was named a finalist for the Best Young Dentist category at the Private Dentistry Awards 2019 and 2021. She was awarded the highly commended title in the Dentist of the Year category at the Dental Awards 2020. Gulshan helps to run the social media Instagram and TikTok for Honour Health, where you can see many of her smile transformation photos. In her spare time, Gulshan enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, skiing and seeing live music with friends at festivals and concerts. Rebekah studied at Newcastle University, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2022, and joined the Honour Health team in November 2024. Rebekah is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in restorative dentistry in London to further her skills in treating more complex dental problems that might otherwise mean her patient would need to be referred to a specialist. Rebekah particularly loves working with anxious patients, as she wholeheartedly believes dental care is not only about the treatment you need, but more significantly about rebuilding your confidence in the dental environment so you can feel happy and comfortable. Rebekah’s great joy in dentistry is looking after her patients in a way that helps them to keep all of their teeth and gums as strong as possible for as long as possible, and helping them to reach a point they have a smile they can feel confident with – even those who think it isn’t possible for them! When Rebekah is not in her surgery, you can find her playing in her local community band, or outside at night chasing the northern lights!

Onkar graduated as a dental surgeon from Newcastle University in 1985 and has been principal dental surgeon at Honour Health (formerly the Osborne Dental Group) since 1986. Find out more about Onkar here

Michael joined our Jesmond practice in September 2018, having previously worked at a dental practice in Stockton. Michael graduated in graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Newcastle University. He also holds an MSc in Endodontics, and has a particular interest in this area of dentistry. Michael accepts referrals from other dentists for private endodontic treatment. Having spent his university years in Newcastle, he is delighted to have returned to the city to work here in Jesmond. Outside of work, Michael enjoys golfing and spending time with family. Susan joined the Honour Health team in November 2022 and works at our Jesmond practice. Susan studied dentistry at Newcastle University, graduating in 2003, and was awarded the James Coltman prize for operative dentistry. Susan has a wealth of postgraduate certificates, including a year-long course in advanced restorative dentistry. She holds many qualifications in facial aesthetics and has worked to Level 7. For 15 years, Susan focused on private dentistry, including tooth straightening, general cosmetic dentistry and the formulation of complicated treatment plans. Susan is particularly focused on aesthetics, both with tooth straightening and anti-ageing, and really enjoys transforming patients’ confidence in their smiles. Outside of work, Susan loves spending time with her young family, yoga, and health and fitness. She loves being at the beach and enjoys paddle boarding and wild swimming.

Hussam studied to become a dental surgeon at Newcastle University and graduated in 2019. He hails from the North East and worked in Sunderland prior to joining Honour Health’s Stanley team in 2020. He now works at our Jesmond practice. At work, he enjoys the process of taking patients through their journeys from initial consultations, answering their questions and helping them achieve any dental goals they may have. He has an ambition to take on further training in restorative dental work in the months to come. In his spare time, Hussam likes to keep active and is a keen gym-goer. He often plays football, basketball and enjoys travelling when the opportunities arise. Aside from that, Hussam enjoys spending a lot of time with family and friends.

Nikolaos studied at Plovdiv University (Doctor of Dental Medicine), graduating in 2002, and has a wealth of experience in many areas of dentistry. He hails from Greece, and has been based in Newcastle for more than a decade, working in NHS and private practices across the North East, before joining Honour Health Stanley in early 2021. He now works between our Stanley and Jesmond practices. Nikolaos has a keen interest in treating anxious patients and he enjoys seeing their oral health improve as their anxiety diminishes. He also has a particular interest in minimally invasive dentistry, restorative dentistry and endodontics, and has undertaken additional courses in composite bonding, radiology and periodontal care. Outside of work, Nikolaos enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring the North East.

Divya began working as a dentist in our Stanley practice in April 2021. She studied Dentistry in Valencia, Spain, and graduated in July 2020. Divya is enjoying working in general dentistry at present, to continually build on her experience, and will then move towards a post-graduate qualification. She has an interest in periodontics and restorative dentistry, and is keen to gain a qualification in the field of facial aesthetics. Divya most enjoys interacting with the variety of people that come to the dental surgery, taking people out of pain, and giving people the confidence to smile. In her spare time, Divya enjoys learning and teaching Kathak – a North Indian classical dance form. She also enjoys cooking and going for walks.

Mina joined our Honour Health team in 2023 when he relocated to the UK from Budapest, Hungary. He’s been practicing dentistry since 2019, after he graduated with honours as Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Debrecen. He has gained a wealth of experience providing complex dental treatments in his previous position and has an interest in cosmetic work. Currently, Mina is dedicated to further his knowledge in smile design, and in the long term, he would like to explore implantology. Mina most enjoys working together with patients to improve their dental health and help them smile more which proves to be life-changing in many cases. The journey always starts with a thorough oral hygiene guidance, followed by restorative and prosthodontics treatments, including composite bondings, veneers, crowns, bridges or removable dentures. He practices adhesive dentistry, which depends on modern materials’ ability to stick to tooth structure. This gives Mina the ability to preserve more of the tooth and be minimally invasive during his work. In his spare time, Mina enjoys being part of a rowing club in the river Tyne. He also likes keeping his knowledge updated by reading articles and attending dental courses. He would like to get into swimming and learn some surfing, but he is not sure the weather in the North East will help him with that!
