Mr Meor Ishak

Meor graduated BDS (Adelaide, Australia) in 1997. He is a registered dentist in New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia. Meor has gained extensive experience in general dentistry in a career which includes roles as hospital dental officer, clinical tutor, private practitioner and voluntary community dentist. He was conferred Fellow of the International College of Dentist (FICD) in 2013 and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) in 2015. Throughout his career, Meor has developed strong advanced clinical skills in general and cosmetic dentistry, taking on particular interests in CAD-CAM digital dentistry, aesthetic tooth-colored restorations, oral surgery and dental implants. Meor is also trained to provide conscious sedation for anxious patients. Known for his friendly, gentle and meticulous manner, Meor believes in delivering high standard dentistry while providing a pleasant and satisfying experience for his patients. Meor moved to New Zealand with his family in 2018, working as the lead senior dentist in Westport before settling in Nelson. He has recently joined Essential Dental after moving to Christchurch. In his spare time Meor enjoys music, books, sports and the outdoors.
