Ellie is a Specialist Periodontist who diagnoses and treats issues related to the gums or periodontium. She graduated from the University of Otago in 2005, worked in NZ and Australia, and completed advanced periodontology qualifications in 2010 and 2013 with scholarships and awards. She provides continuing education, is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Otago University, part of the Osteology Foundation, and advises Dental Council and ACC. Her research is in periodontal epidemiology and oral health quality-of-life.
