Dr Sumaya Ershad graduated from the University of Otago in 2006 and has been practising dentistry ever since, giving her over 18 years of clinical experience. Early in her career, she worked as a dental house surgeon at Wellington and Hutt Valley Hospitals, where she gained invaluable experience in emergency dentistry, oral surgery, and managing complex dental cases. With more than 15 years’ experience across general, cosmetic, and advanced dentistry, Dr Ershad is highly skilled in restorative treatments, orthodontics, root canal therapy, and wisdom tooth removal. She is known for her gentle chairside manner, making even the most anxious patients feel at ease. Dr Ershad is an active member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and the Auckland Dental Association (ADA). She has also given back to her community as a trustee member at Massey Primary School. Raised in Wellington, Dr Ershad attended local schools before moving to Auckland, where she is now a proud resident of Mt. Albert. Outside of dentistry, she is a devoted mum to her son and daughter.
