Dr Adam Patterson graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2022. He completed his Dental Foundation Training in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2023 before relocating to New Zealand. Adam has a keen interest in restorative dentistry, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. He particularly enjoys using adhesive materials under rubber dam isolation, both with direct (composites) or indirect (adhesive onlays). He also finds endodontics both rewarding, and is considering further training to continue developing his skills in this area. Adam is passionate about delivering high-quality care and takes pride in providing treatment that is both effective and patient-focused. He values clear communication to ensure his patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident during every appointment. Outside of dentistry, Adam enjoys all types of sports. He has played football since childhood, enjoys watching rugby, and plays golf casually. He recently went on a six-month trip through Asia, where he sparked new interests in scuba diving, hiking, and surfing. A highlight of that trip was a memorable hike into the crater of an active volcano in Indonesia.
