Ken graduated from Otago Dental School in 1987 and worked at Auckland Hospital for 2 years as a Dental House Surgeon before moving to Wellington in 1989 to set up Karori Dental Centre. He is passionate about dentistry and said it fulfils two major goals in his chosen career. One is the enjoyment he gets from the interaction with a wide range of people and their personalities. The second aspect of the job that he enjoys immensely, is the fine manual dexterity required with the work. Ken has a simple ethic with regards to his work and that is he treats his patients as he would like to be treated himself. Ken is happily married with two children. He likes to have a good balance in life and values family time and socialising with friends which is very important to him. Ken’s other interests include gardening, contemporary NZ art, keeping tropical fish and trying to maintain his fitness at the gym.
