Amanda Johnston (nee Sanderson) was brought up in Whangarei, studied in Dunedin and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Otago University in 1993. She then travelled to Great Britain and worked in and around London gaining experience in general dentistry and enjoying travel opportunities. In 1998 she returned to Whangarei and has been working in general dental practice while balancing family life. Amanda enjoys helping her patients feel better about their teeth and their treatment. Dentistry provides a great opportunity to help people smile! In 2012, Amanda was elected to the Board of the New Zealand Dental Association and in 2013 joined the NZDA Executive. She has been President of the Northland Branch of NZDA since 2007.
