Dr. Hayley Cowan grew up in North Carolina where she completed her undergraduate education and dental training. During dental school, she was introduced to the exciting specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology by the renowned oral radiologists at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry. It didn’t take long for her passion for oral radiology to develop and she decided to move across the country to the University of Washington to complete their oral radiology residency program. During residency, she presented her research on osteoarthritis and disc displacement in the temporomandibular joints and an unusual case of mandibular osteoblastoma at the AAOMR annual meeting. Dr. Cowan is currently a professor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and enjoys sharing her passion for oral radiology with students, residents, and faculty alike. She is committed to helping dentists get the most out of their imaging.
