Dr Tony Mecham

Dr. Mecham is an Associate Professor and Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mecham graduated in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2002 and worked as a process engineer at Intel Corporation in Portland, Oregon before attending dental school. After graduating dental school Magna Cum Laude at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2009 he moved to Alaska as an Air Force dentist, completing an AEGD in 2010. From July, 2013 to June, 2015 Dr. Mecham attended an oral and maxillofacial radiology program at the University of Washington. During the radiology residency, he conducted research related to cone beam interpretation, for which he won the Dentsply Rinn Research Award at the Oral Radiology Annual Session in 2015. He maintains an affiliate faculty position with the University of Washington. He moved back to Boston to work at his dental school alma mater from 2015 to 2019, before accepting his current position at Roseman University. Dr. Mecham has always enjoyed learning and was an exceptional student during the pursuit of each of his degrees, earning various rewards and recognition. Now, he hopes that joy of learning will translate into not only image interpretation, but teaching oral radiology to students and other dental colleagues who are interested in learning more about the subject. As a father of two girls and three boys, Dr. Mecham has an exciting and very fulfilling home life.
