Dr. Andrew Larson grew up in the Spokane Valley. After graduating from Central Valley High School, he attended North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene on a baseball scholarship. He served a two-year LDS mission in Tempe, Arizona, before returning to North Idaho College to play baseball again, where he met his wife, Cassie Gatten. They married in July of 2000. They moved to Goodwell, Oklahoma, where Dr. Larson played baseball at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. They then enrolled at Brigham Young University, where Dr. Larson graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. From there, they moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where Dr. Larson attended Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. In dental school, Dr. Larson was awarded a scholarship from the United States Air Force. After graduating in 2007, he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Scott Air Force Base, where he was trained in all dental specialties, including IV Sedation and Oral Surgery. He graduated in the top 3 from his class and was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. Wanting more stability, they decided to leave Active Duty Service and returned to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where Dr. Steven Gatten, Dr. Larson’s father-in-law, opened a spot in his practice for Dr. Larson. Dr. Larson and his wife, Cassie, have five children: Cooper, Gunner, Beckett, Jersey, and Mitt. The Larsons enjoy watching and playing sports and love traveling to Major League Baseball parks.
