A Crossville area local, Dr. Johnny Shanks grew up here and feels privileged to be able to serve his local community with exceptional personalised dental care. He graduated from Campbellsville University with a BS in biology and chemistry. He attained his dental degree from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in Memphis. To provide exceptional care to his patients and their families, he’s also graduated from the Kois Center® for Dental Excellence, which teaches the latest advances in esthetics, implants, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Shanks partners with his patients to help you maintain your oral health and promises to keep you informed throughout your time at Northside Family Dentistry so you can make educated decisions about your dental and overall health. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Portia, who he’s been married to since 2005, and their four children. Fun fact: Dr. Shanks played NAIA collegiate baseball for the Campbellsville Tigers, where their team’s hard work rewarded the title of 2003 NAIA Conference Champions.
