As the son of two successful dentists, Dr. Ken Hovden has dentistry in his blood. He was born and raised as a third-generation San Franciscan, attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory, completed undergraduate studies at Stanford University graduating with honors and a dual degree in biology and social/political science. Earned his doctorate from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (UOP), received the Gene Dixon Student Leadership Award and inducted into OKU. Joined his father in private practice after graduating in 1981 until father's retirement in 1997. Continually hones skills with top leaders in preventive and cosmetic dentistry. Recipient of multiple gold medals from AACD, author, lecturer, teacher. Faculty at UOP Endodontics for 32+ years, Spear Institute, Hornbrook Group, Kois Center clinical instructor. Member of AACD, ADA, CDA, San Mateo Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists. Founder of Bay Area Aesthetic Masters study club.
