Dr. Sun Hae Choi was born and raised in South Korea and her family moved to the States when she was 17. She graduated from University of Michigan with B.S. in Cell Molecular Biology and decided to pursue dentistry since she liked the idea of helping others with her skills and knowledge. Dr. Choi received her D.M.D. (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2008. She then completed General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York in 2009. After her residency, she practiced as an associate at private practices in Massachusetts and in the bay area, California for over 14 years. Dr. Choi has also been a certified invisalign provider since 2011. While Dr. Choi is an advocate of minimally invasive dentistry and preventative dentistry, she loves learning about newer technologies and inventions to provide her patients the best care. She is dedicated to honing her skills by attending continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Choi is an active member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Contra Costa Dental Society. In her free time, Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, playing tennis, hiking, and visiting museums and parks.
