I was born in Northwood, ND, and grew up on the family farm. After graduating from Northwood High School, I attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, where I majored in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I continued my education and attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. It was at MUSoD that I met my wife, Kathryn. She grew up on Kodiak Island, AK, where our family enjoys spending vacations. We have two daughters, Elsie and Amelia. I moved to Grand Forks in 2007 after dental school graduation. I helped start the dental clinic of the community health center (previously Valley Community Health Centers, now Spectra Health), working as dental director for almost eight years before purchasing Dr. Labine’s practice in January 2015. I am active in organised dentistry and serve on the Board of Health for Grand Forks County.
