Dr Sean Rockwell

Dr. Rockwell embarked on his academic journey at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in 1997, where he joined the soccer team and eventually became its captain. His dedication to athletics and academics was evident, with the soccer program achieving a ranking as high as 7th in the nation. Despite the demanding schedule of collegiate sports, Dr. Rockwell excelled in his studies, graduating with honors in Biochemistry in 2002. Dr. Rockwell’s journey into dentistry began with his father-in-law, an oral surgeon, and solidified during summer breaks in college when he worked in the field. Graduating at the top of his class from The University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2006, Dr. Rockwell was recognized for excellence and accepted into the Tau Kappa Omega honor society. With experience in various dental settings, Dr. Rockwell established his own practice in 2007. Alongside his wife Tiana, they relocated to Nevada County, aspiring to create a cutting-edge dental facility prioritizing client health and wellness. This vision is realized today at The Dental Wellness Center of Grass Valley (formerly Rockwell Family Dental). Tiana and Dr. Rockwell are passionate advocates for Nevada County and actively support local non-profits. They were instrumental in founding the Gold Country Triathlon Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of Nevada County through triathlon. When in the office, Dr. Rockwell is committed to helping patients achieve positive life changes. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys quality time with his wife, Tiana, their dogs (Callisto and Sadie), and their extended circle of family and friends. Dr. Rockwell’s hobbies include exploring and adventuring through triathlon, backpacking, travel, hunting, and various outdoor activities.
