Dr. Adams earned his Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University where he also lettered in both football and lacrosse. He was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1977 and after a one year internship at Baltimore City Hospital he returned to the University of Maryland for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his residency in 1981. Dr. Adams passed his board examinations and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1983. He established Adams Oral Surgery in 1985, opening offices in both Hanover and Gettysburg. Dr. Adams has been active in organised Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for many years on both a state and national level and has been honoured with induction into both the American and International College of Dentists.
