Dr. Patel grew up in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, where he graduated from high school in the top 10% of his class in 1995. He attended and graduated from Tufts University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1999. Dr. Patel has always been passionate about oral cancer and was a research associate at Harvard University studying oral cancer while publishing several research papers in prestigious scientific journals. In 2006, Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. After dental school, Dr. Patel completed his residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY, where he obtained extensive experience in all aspects of modern dental care, which includes placing/restoring dental implants, third molar extractions, molar root canals, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), and the Middlesex County Dental Society.
