Dr. Fertik grew up in Ithaca, New York. He graduated Cum Laude from Williams College in 1987, attended dental school at UNC Chapel Hill graduating in 1991 with Honors, and received his Masters Degree and Specialty Certificate from UNC Periodontal Residency in 1994. He taught at UNC before joining the practice in 1996. Active member of American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, North Carolina Society of Periodontists, International Team for Implantology, Buncombe County Dental Society, and Henderson County Dental Society.
