Dr Mark D. Scheiderich

Dr. Mark D. Scheiderich graduated cum laude from Auburn University in 1996 where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2000 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. After graduation, Dr. Scheiderich proudly served in the US Army. He was assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he earned his Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree, and then to Grafenwoehr Germany, as the officer in charge of a 10-chair dental clinic responsible for the well-being of over 3,000 soldiers and family members. Dr. Scheiderich was honored with a Meritorious Service Medal at the end of his military career. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Scheiderich honed his skills as an associate with a thriving dental practice. When the opportunity arose, Dr. Scheiderich acquired an established, 25-year-old practice in 2006 and now dedicates himself to serving his neighbors in Fletcher, NC and surrounding areas. In 2010, Dr. Scheiderich became involved in the First District Dental Society, where he became an officer, and ultimately President in 2014. After serving in the First District, he moved on to become a Trustee for the North Carolina Dental Society. In 2015 Dr. Scheiderich was elected to be an officer in the North Carolina Dental Society. He just finished serving as President of the North Carolina Dental Society in 2018, and remains active in the organized dentistry. Dr. Scheiderich is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, 1st District Dental Society, Henderson County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr Scheiderich is also a fellow in the International College of Dentist. Dr. Scheiderich has been married to his lovely bride Courtney since 1997, and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. In his spare time he enjoys hiking in the lovely mountains of WNC, and is an accomplished home brewer. He is also very involved in volunteer work through his church at St. Eugenes.
