Dr. Ernesto Valiente is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. A native of San Juan, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Puerto Rico in 1987 and received his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 1991. After completing his residency and specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Puerto Rico Medical Center in 1995, Dr. Valiente continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle and practiced in that state as well as in Ohio before moving to Florida. Believing it is important to understand the latest developments in his specialty, he often attends seminars and takes hands-on advanced surgical courses nationwide. Although Dr. Valiente handles all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, he has concentrated interests in the treatment of pathology, dentoalveolar surgery such as wisdom teeth, all types of anesthesia and dental implants services.
