Dr Bob Whitley

Our practice was founded by Dr. Bob Whitley, who came to town as a public health dentist in Craven, Jones, and Pamlico counties after completing his dental training. He faithfully served our community for nearly 40 years alongside our staff until he determined it was time to retire and pass the baton to ensure continual care for our patients. Dr. Whitley met Dr. Christopher Lane in November 2020 and began sharing with him his experiences caring for the good people of Craven, Jones, Pamlico, and Carteret counties. While Dr. Whitley has since retired from full-time dentistry, he still maintains strong ties to our practice. He still lives here in New Bern, is heavily engaged in our community, and even fills in from time to time if Dr. Lane is engaging in continuing education to bring new techniques and advances in dentistry here to our patients.
