Dr. Ira Simon received his B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University and his D.D.S. from the University of California in San Francisco. Following dental school he completed a hospital based residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then practiced general dentistry for 3 years prior to entering a residency program at UCLA/VA Medical Center from which he received his specialty training in Periodontology. Dr. Simon is a member of The American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Western Society of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also involved in community service through Rotary. Dr. Simon lives in Novato, He is married and has two children. They both attended local schools and have been involved in team sports. Dr. Simon takes pride in being involved in his community and most importantly understands his responsibility in delivering sound healthcare advice and treatment to those in his care. Additionally he lectures locally on various Periodontal topics to help other practitioners in their understanding of the diagnosis and management of Periodontitis.
