Dr. Lomke has been serving the people of Montgomery County Maryland in the clinical practice of dentistry for over 39 years. Patients travel far and wide to be treated by a leading authority on clinical dentistry. His practice focuses on cosmetics, crown and bridge prosthetics and implant dentistry. His greatest source of satisfaction remains the daily interaction with his patients. Dr. Lomke is a member of the Dean’s Alumni Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore as a Clinical Instructor. He has appeared on Channel 9 TV News to educate the public on “High Tech” Dentistry. Dr. Lomke has attained the level of Educator for the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), which is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the advance of education of all dental professionals in the field of dental lasers. In addition to his full time general dentistry practice with a special interest in dental laser applications, he teaches other dentists and hygienists the safe and effective use of dental lasers and incorporating these techniques into patient care. His laser training certification sessions are ongoing. He has lectured on laser dentistry to other dentists around the United States as well as to international audiences at the annual ALD meetings. Dr. Lomke has served as a special advisor to the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners on dental lasers. Dr. Lomke’s general practice residency was as a 2nd lieutenant in the US Public Health Service, 1979-80. Since then, he has been in private practice. Dr. Lomke is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Society, Southern State Dental Society, Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), Potomac Valley Study Club, Maryland Implant Study Club, The Forum Study Club of Bethesda, Global XP and the Maryland State Program – Donated Dental Services.
