Dr. Cherish Leung is a Board Certified pediatric dental specialist. She grew up around her many younger siblings and cousins, and throughout her life has been surrounded by children! She loves working with kids and patients with special needs. She is extremely fortunate that her passion for working with kids and her love of dentistry can be combined and allow her to help patients in a unique way daily. Dr. Cherish graduated undergrad from UCLA, and went on to earn two Masters degrees prior to attending dental school at Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated with honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She pursued advanced training in New York for general practice residency, where she worked with mostly patients with special needs. She opted to stay in New York and chose to specialize in pediatrics, training at Northwell Health Hofstra School of Medicine Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Cherish strives to instill trust in her patients and to ensure that her skillset, abilities and gentle nature allows for stellar care and truly touches the lives of those she cares for. Dr. Cherish has trained extensively in tethered oral tissues. She has learned from some of the top experts in the field, including Dr. Soroush Zaghi, Dr. Chelsea Pinto, Dr. Richard Baxter, and Dr. Alison Hazelbaker. In addition, she received her training in oral myofunctional therapy through the IAOM (International Association of Orofacial Myology) so that she can better serve her patients and their parents. Dr. Cherish is focused on your child's whole health, which includes looking at the airway and facial development.
