Dr Karla Torres

For over 25 years, Dr. Karla Torres has provided high quality, gentle care to her San Gabriel Valley community. For her, this isn’t a career as much as it is her calling. From a young age she has had a passion for dentistry and educating others on the importance of oral health. At every juncture of her journey—from registered dental assistant to dental hygienist to doctor—the comfort of her patients is her first priority. Before graduating from Western University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Torres got her license in Dental Hygiene from San Joaquin Valley College where she was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award. Dr. Torres is an LA native with a passion for promoting oral health within the LatinX community. Her Spanish fluency and bicultural upbringing give her a built-in understanding of the cultural hurdles that make oral health elusive to immigrant communities bordering Claremont. At every stage of her career, Dr. Torres has received consistent feedback: great bedside manner and unparalleled technical abilities. Dentistry is a science as much as it is an art, and Dr. Torres excels at both. She believes everyone deserves access to comprehensive, compassionate, high-quality care. The last 4 years she has expanded her dental care into assisted living, skilled memory care and skilled nursing facilities to provide care in the geriatric/home bound population. She takes her knowledge into settings where seniors would otherwise be unable to receive care.
