Dr. Michael Markgraf was born and raised in Wisconsin, graduating from Oostburg High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated in 1984 from Marquette University's School of Dentistry. Dr. Mike had a fee - for - service practice for 15 years in a suburb of Milwaukee called Grafton before moving to Florida. While in Wisconsin, he taught for three years as an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Science at Marquette University's School of Dentistry. Dr. Mike continues his education to incorporate the latest technology available in dentistry. He moved to Punta Gorda in 1999 for the climate, the year-around boating, and the small town atmosphere. He felt Punta Gorda shows a respect for the past, and built a historic-looking building he felt would reflect those values. Dr. Mike enjoys boating, fishing, biking, swimming, traveling with his family, and playing Frisbee with his Labrador. Above all, he truly enjoys practicing dentistry and treating the problems for which our patients seek us out. Dr. Markgraf is a member of: -The American Dental Association -The Academy of General Dentistry -American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry - International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Fellowship status).
